Once a year Tidy Towns members and community volunteers pick up rubbish and clean up a section along the South Western Highway between Hay Road in the north to Wilkes Road in the south. This is the annual roadside litter drive for Clean Up Australia Day.
The Greenbushes Tidy Towns Committee and volunteers and Grow Greenbushes (previously Ratepayers & Residents Association) have been carrying out litter pick ups along this section of the highway for a number of years.
